Dr. Sanam Vardag

Dr. Sanam Vardag is specialized in regional greenhouse gas measurements and atmospheric modeling. She received her doctoral degree in 2016 for her dissertation on greenhouse gas flux analysis. Her work was awarded by the Viktor and Sigrid Dulger foundation for her extraordinary achievements in the field of environmental sciences. Since 2017 Dr. Sanam Vardag is executive manager of the Heidelberg Center for the Environment (HCE) at Heidelberg University. She has coordinated and co-developed the interdisciplinary project „Operationalizing Climate Science“ and is responsible for inter-project communication as well as general communication of results and strategic development of the project. Further, she will support the project with her expertise in measurement and modeling on high spatial resolution.
